A 83-year-old woman was injured Thursday after three men reportedly broke into her Los Altos Hills home and attacked her. The suspects ransacked the home and stole various items, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies received a call about the home invasion at the 27000 block of Altamont Road and arrived to find the resident had suffered injuries during the attack, including lacerations and cuts. She was reportedly treated by medical staff at the scene.

The victim was alone at the house at the time of the robbery, and she heard the intruders and confronted them, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The suspects were “physically aggressive” and demanded she tell them where her valuables were stashed, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Glennon.

“The victim is pretty shaken up, as you can imagine,” Glennon said.

A gardener later heard the victim calling for help, and he called law enforcement for help.

The Sheriff’s Office is declining to disclose what items were stolen in the crime.

The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the crime. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 408-808-4500, or the anonymous tip line at 408-808-4431.

  1. …right up until they say something remotely bad about Fat Nixon, then they become a liberal fake news outlet again. Cherry picking at it’s best. MV Voice’s opposition to cannabis in MV is certainly another liberal stance they took, right? Mmmm! The bings are so ripe they almost pick themselves!
