An afternoon of fingerstyle guitars

Foothills Congregational Church (461 Orange Ave., Los Altos) will host a concert of guitar virtuosos featuring Mark Hanson, Greta Pedersen, Doug Young and Teja Gerken on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m.

Former Palo Altan Mark Hanson and Greta Pedersen are, respectively, a Grammy-Award winning guitarist and Young Audiences' 2009 National Artist of the Year. Their concerts are a mix of jazz, Americana, originals and eclectic pop.

Mountain View musician Doug Young and Teja Gerken incorporate a variety of guitar types and draw from their individual catalogs of original compositions, Celtic tunes, arrangements of jazz standards and the occasional classical piece.

A donation of $20 per person is suggested at admission. Go to Foothills Congregational Church.
