A puppy was taken from a locked vehicle in Mountain View Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Uso, a 9-week-old Chiweenie/pit bull mix-breed puppy, was taken from a locked vehicle on the 1300 block of Villa Street between 2:30 and 2:44 p.m. today, according to police.

He has brown and black, tiger-like markings and weighs between 8.5 and 9 pounds. He is a friendly dog who loves people, and police are hoping to reunite him with his human family.

  1. When a parent leaves a child in a locked car, there are charges pressed. I believe there should be charges pressed for owners who leave an animal in a locked car.

  2. I hope the puppy was taken by someone who will care for it responsibly and not leave it in a locked car in the middle of the afternoon.

  3. Sounds like the dog was rescued. Good for the person who did it. Way too many dogs being left in hot cars. What is wrong with dog owners these days?!?! If a dog were to die in a hot car the owners would be crying the blues wondering what went wrong not thinking that it was their own stupidity and neglect. SMH….
