Jean was a much loved member of First Presbyterian Church in Palo Alto. She was our longest lifetime member: from the church Cradle Roll until her death in December. Jean served the church community in a variety of leadership roles and was an active member of the church choir for many decades. We will miss Jean dearly and we give thanks for her long and meaningful life.

Jean, Jane, Leonard, and I were in Ross Road Y Dawn patrol running group. Early in the morning we worked to be physically and spiritually fit; sharing our concerns and wisdom; two social workers, pharmacist,communications professional. Jean had great courage and caring. Inspiring woman.

I always think of Aunt Jean when I hang laundry. When I was a teenager she gave me an embroidery kit that was a clothespin holder. I used it until it fell apart and then cut a pattern from it. Have made several over the years as they wore out.
