Voices Around Town

Should PG&E do more in terms of transparency when it comes to making information about its gas lines public?

Asked in Downtown Mountain View. Pictures and interviews by Nick Veronin.

"I don't know the safety concerns well enough to say yes or no. It's a tragedy."

Paul Crowl, Mountain View

"They should make every little piece of info available to us. I don't think there is a need to make anything private."

Joy Farber, Mountain View

"They should be doing far more. People should know exactly where the pipelines are, and there should be automatic shutoff valves put in place."

Gene Bradley, San Jose

"They got all this money. The need to be doing a lot more. They need to be out inspecting the lines and improving them."

Barbara Kindle, East Palo Alto

"They should at least provide a more comprehensive map. I think the public has a right to know that information."

Charles K, San Francisco
