Voices Around Town

Would you rather have a few big cell towers or lots of small cell phone antennas?

Asked in Downtown Mountain View. Interviews and photos by Nick Gonzales

"To the best of my knowledge ... the distributed antennas work better. Better than the one mono pole."

Eli Rostanian, Menlo Park

"I would like to have many towers. Because constantly my phone calls are dropping and so I'm pretty sure the only answer is more, rather than fewer."

Steph Hay, Washington, D.C.

"I think we should have lots of little ones. I just don't want to see them."

Paul Singh, Mountain View

"I really think it depends on what the antennas look like. I think there might be benefits from small antennas if they are esthetically pleasing, and placed in places naturally like tall trees."

Mariya Genzel, Mountain View

"I think the smaller antennas would be a better idea because they are less visible and less noticeable, however I really wouldn't care if there was a large one or a bunch of small ones.

Tom Kaheli, San Carlos
