Voices Around Town

Have you been feeling the affects of the rising cost of housing?

Asked in downtown Mountain View. Photos and interviews by Ashley Finden.

"The cost of housing is insane. It has been for 45 years. It doesn't seem to get any better."

Charles Class, Mountain View

"I moved out (to Mountain House) because it was little bit more affordable for me to get what I wanted. Being out here is kind of expensive so I commute a lot longer just to make something that's more affordable for me to live in."

Robert Sweat, Mountain House

"Yeah, I think I got affected by the rise in housing. I just renewed my lease and I think I got (an) 11-percent rise in the rent."

Carmen Tse, Mountain View

"No, because I bought my house over eight years ago, so it didn't impact me."

Lauren Weingran, Los Altos

"I have not been affected by the rising cost in housing."

Vijay Romani, Santa Clara
