What would you like to see from Congress when they continue discussing the fiscal cliff?

Asked in downtown Mountain View. Photos and interviews by Ashley Finden

"I would like to see Congress reinstate the senior programs that they cut, and also try to maybe lower gas prices. And also I would like Congress to try to lower taxes for everybody."

Gina Biondo, Mountain View

"I would be much happier if they were talking about cutting the debt instead of cutting the deficit, because all cutting the deficit does is kick the problem down the road."

Tian Harter, Mountain View

"What I'd like to see from Congress is more compromise on the fiscal cliff, and particularly raising taxes on higher income people."

Barbara Gooding, Mountain View

"I think I'd like to see a lot more collaboration between both parties and a lot more conversation about realistic goals."

Pamela Ruiz, San Bernadino

"I would like to see Congress agreeing on anything."

Sara Lopez, Sunnyvale
