Widow files wrongful death lawsuit against Tesla over Mountain View crash

Complaint alleges errors made by Tesla and Caltrans led to death of Apple engineer

The family of a man who died when his Tesla Model X crashed last year has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the car manufacturer, claiming the vehicle's Autopilot function and emergency braking system were defective. Attorneys representing the family say Tesla's actions amount to beta testing vehicle software on "live drivers."
