No election for El Camino board

With three people running for three seats, there will be no November election for the El Camino Hospital District Board of Directors.

Three of the five seats are up for election, but only incumbents Wes Alles and Jon Zoglin are running for another term. Ed Bough is stepping down from the board, and Uwe Kadde filed papers for his seat, according to the county registrar's office.

Terms expire in November 2010 for the other two directors, Mark O'Connor and David Reeder. The board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the hospital.

This is the best news for El Camino Hospital since Dominick Curatola, MD resigned from the El Camino Hospital District Board. Both Curatola and Ed Bough, MD had massive conflicts of interest and acted in their best interests instead of the community's. Hopefully Uwe Kladde will be more honest and ethical than Ed Bough.
