Voices Around Town

What should the City Council set as its top goal?

Asked in Downtown Mountain View. Pictures and interviews by Peter Maxwell

"I'm very disappointed the council won't let any dispensaries here in town, so they should work on that. And I hope its relations with El Camino Hospital improve."

Autumn Rose, Mountain View

"I think they should work on balancing the budget and get more entertainment for kids."

Jesse Adams, Mountain View

"Stop conducting studies on so many issues, and committees and ad-hoc committees. Look at something that needs to get done, hire somebody and do it for far less money than the studies cost."

Marie Henry, East Palo Alto

"They should try their best to get better public transportation. If you don't have a car in this area, it's quite difficult to get around. It would also help the environment, and save energy."

Javier Lavourt, Palo Alto

"They should focus on jobs and education."

Jerry Peters, San Jose
