Voices Around Town

What would encourage you to use public transportation?

Asked in downtown Mountain View. Photos and interviews by Emily Efland and Rebecca Alger.

"I use public transportation every day. I think it's a great way to save money, and it's easier than driving."

Julio Siliezar, San Francisco

"I've used public transport here in Mountain View, and any changes I would make would be modernizing the buses and trains."

Byron Beville, United Kingdom

"I don't use mass transportation. What would encourage me to use mass transportation is if I had a longer commute. I have a really short commute, less than a mile, so I can walk to work."

Bret McMillan, Mountain View

"I just wish there was a faster train to San Francisco, that's all I need for public transportation."

Silvia Curioni, Mountain View

"For me to use the bus more often, I would need more convenience."

Joe Wakim, Cupertino
