Original post made by Renata Stachura, another community, on Jun 9, 2007

Join us! Mountain View hots the first annual Soap Box Derby races TODAY and TOMORROW (6/9-10) at the 100 block of Dana Street in Mountain View. Kids, including many kids from Mountain View and Palo Alto, have built their own gravity cars (with help from Moms/Dads) and will race at 30 MPH down Dana Street! It's really great family fun. Come watch! The winners will go to the world championships in Akron, Ohio!
