Original post made by csma, another community, on Jun 26, 2007

From July 3-31, 2007, visitors to the Main Street Café and Books in Los Altos will enjoy seeing children’s art from the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center. The Kids Art on Main Street exhibition, sponsored by the Los Altos Town Crier and CSMA, will showcase the creative talents of 30 young artists (grades K-6).

Art on display comes from CSMA’s Arts in Action program at Santa Rita School in Los Altos, Springer School in Mountain View (Los Altos School District) and St. Nicholas School in Los Altos Hills. The work was created during the 2006-07 school year in weekly AIA classes taught by CSMA faculty Edie Bella (Springer School), Pamela Richey (Santa Rita School) and Emily Stewart (St. Nicholas School).

On Tuesday, July 10, 5:30-7 pm, Main Street Café and Books will host a reception for the children, their families and friends.

Main Street Cafe and Books, 134 Main Street, Los Altos. Hours: Mon-Sat, 7:30 am–5 pm; Sun, 8 am–2:30 pm.
