Thursday Nite Live

Original post made by GSB, Castro City, on Jul 13, 2007

Did anyone check out Thursday Nite live last night on Castro Stree? It was nice not having to worry about cars, walking in the middle of the street, and just running into neighbors.

I was particularly delighted with the mini Farmer's Market. Sunday mornings are not a good time for me to shop, so i appreciated the chance. We definitely plan to go again. I do wish there'd been more signage in advance so that people who drive through the area could have been forewarned.

I enjoyed it, both the farmer's market and running into people I knew, in addition to not having to deal with traffic. I found it was also a nice time to ride down Castro St. on bicycle. I will definitely go again. Next time (Aug. 2) there will be a concert at Civic Center Plaza on the same night.

There's also free jazz every Thursday night 6-7:30 at Stanford Center. You can hear the cool tunes, then come back to Castro for dindin.
