Damage from a two-alarm fire at an auto body shop in Mountain View this morning was mostly contained to the office area of the building, according to fire officials.

The blaze was reported just before 3 a.m. at C & C Body Shop, located at 251 Moffett Blvd., said Lynn Brown, the Mountain View Fire Department's spokesman.

When the first engine arrived on scene a second alarm was immediately sounded because of the paint, fluids and other potentially flammable chemicals inside the shop, according to Brown.

Firefighters had the blaze controlled by 3:22 a.m., Brown said.

"Most of the damage done (from flames) is in the office area," Brown said. The shop section endured only smoke damage, he added.

No injuries were reported in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
