The decision not to tow the cars of unlicensed drivers is very ill conceived. Are the citizens of Mountain View go to pay a law enforcement officer to wait and make sure the individual who picks the car up is licensed and insured. The auto should be towed. The next thing the city will decide is driver don't need insurance. .........Just Think About It...........

Do we give the gun a person uses to murder another person with back to their friend?
A vehicle in the wrong hands is a lethal weapon.
Driving a car without a license is against the law, thus a crime. Impound the car then auction it off (no matter who it belongs to, unless it is stolen) to help defray the cost of prosecuting the criminals.

It seems to me either the law enforcement and/or city council is coming up with ideas to overlook and not enforce all existing laws so that they can appeal to certain ethnic groups at average tax payer's expense. This is shameful. How about hiring undocumented people to work in law enforcement and serve in the city council. Why don't these morons come up with a proclamation that no US laws apply to undocumented aliens.
