It would help if an address were provided. Or at least the city block. Is this an oversight by the editing staff?

Re: Observer's observation above: makes ya' wonder about the lack of info presented in press releases, doesn't it. Rather like the suspect was described as "a male in a hooded sweatshirt." Period!
(Slow news day with an abundance to spare time in the newsroom, sounds like!)

Would be helpful to know where!!
It's really sad that anyone has to worry about locking the garage or waiting for a landlord to fix a lock. If it was only broken a few days and they were robbed, then how many times has someone tried to break in before but found the door locked? Are people really wandering around looking for unlocked doors all night long? I fear the answer to this is yes, and that creeps me out.

Unfortunately, the answer is all too often: Yes, they are, sadly.

I guess it's at least a good sign that such a small story makes it to the news! It certainly beats some of the horrible things that have taken place around here in the past year!
In San Francisco you probably couldn't even interest the police in investigating something this small!
