I just picked up a copy of the book on Sunday while strolling down Castro. We moved to MV just three weeks ago and this comes at a great time as we learn about our new neighborhood. Picked it up from Al at the lock store on Castro, then had breakfast at 191 -- both of which are in the photo on the cover.

in 1950, my Husband, Jack and I used to go target shooting near the old pool. There was an old warehouse building as well. One day we heard a jet landing and looked up just in time to see it heading for the end of the runway, tires screeching eerily. It finally came to rest against one of the landing lights just before the fence. It was scary. Eventually the runway was extended which covered up that area.
