County law enforcement rolls out school safety campaign

Law enforcement agencies are scheduled to participate in a school safety program this week throughout Santa Clara County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Duh... and the rules should be enforced.... NO CARS in the bike lanes (going around turning vehicles), and teaching the kids that STOP SIGNS apply to BIKES as well... and that if it is a cross walk, one can NOT ride a bike across, but rather, it must be WALKED.

And parents.... Please let your middle and high school kids WALK to school..Free up the streets for real drivers. JEEZE, will they still be breast feeding as they graduate

At last! Maybe not as lucrative as a seatbelt crackdown, or MVPD's borderline-entrapment pedestrian sting, but finally a police campaign that targets an actual safety issue.
