What kind of sick animals are behind the wheels of so many of these cars? You run over an old woman and you LEAVE?!?! We need to start liberally revoking people's licenses.
MV Police, lets get the special task force and start the ticket parade. Some drivers are trying to kill us again by running us over then leaving us for dead.

What kind of person hits an elderly woman, then runs away? A driver with no license, or insurance maybe. Or, dare I even think such thoughts? someone perhaps with no legal right to be in this country?

There was an accident on California St where a car ran the red light hit another car who was making the right turn (who had the right of way) then that car hit a property's front fence. The drivers exchanged information but apparently the driver at fault was not the person he said he was. He could not be found later nor the registered owner of the vehicle at fault(moved out from the address indicated on the police report.) The registered owner was a woman but a witness confirmed that the driver who ran the red light was a man and added that there were about 4-5 people in that vehicle. Insurance company could not do anything about it and both victims (owner of the property and the driver of the other car) were not able to file claims against the driver at fault. Luckily, nobody was injured and the monetary damage was manageable.
Just saying, this [email protected]#t happens in our neighborhood!

I hope your reporter or editor doesn't try to "move up" in the world of Journalism...
WHERE did this event occur ?
WHAT is the account number at Wells Fargo (I assume the Castro Branch, but not necessarily)
DID the police "indicate" that they identified the culprit? Or DID THEY know who it was? Not both.

Right. And writing tickets for red light running won't stop them from doing that either, but you don't propose we stop ticketing them do you? Your point that there is no perfect world is obviously assumed, but thanks for the reminder

That's just the point. Revoke the lic based on aggressive driving behavior. They need to be far more stringent on recognizing aggressives before they kill(tailgaters, brake checkers, speeders, red light runners...We need the to be HARSH punishments for these behaviors, not just a slap on the wrist, or a few hours of on line traffic school. Anyway, you OK with punishing them after they find him? Sheesh, must be the guys wife ;)

A start would be a police force that concentrates more on dangerous driving, and less on raising revenue through b******t tickets. But since we can't manage that, we'll just 'calm' traffic until it can't move anymore.
