should employees be allowed to fire a CEO?

After a near revolt by employees over their new CEO's allegedly bigotry, Brendan Eich has resigned as CEO of Mountain View's Mozilla Corp. Was this right? Who's freedom of speech is more important, the CEO's or the employees? Mozilla press release: Web Link
