Carl Djerassi, 'father of the pill,' dead at 91

Carl Djerassi, 91, known as the father of the birth control pill and the founder of the Djerassi Resident Arts Program at his Woodside ranch, died Friday, Jan. 30, at his home in San Francisco

Truly a game changer for the western world. Most of us can only daydream about making such an impact. There was also so much joy brought to people. Who can forget those days when you first heard the phrase "It's OK, I'm on the pill".
Prior to the days of AIDS, that was pretty nice to hear ;)
