School board hesitates over pricey Castro plans

Seems like a very costly project with little returns. We could easily build a school in Whisman area if we can cut down the Castro school budget. Infact, we can build many micro schools with reduced spending on just one school.

Building new construction is always going to be fairly expensive. Based on the last Board meeting, I think some things will and can be re-evaluated. But finding enough money to build a new school for Whisman is not the only problem. We also have to find operational funds for the school Year over Year which we don't currently have, nor do we have enough students to share with a 9th school and still keep all our fiscal efficiencies. These are the issues that must be worked out before any promises of a 9th school can be made. They are certainly issues that can be successfully addressed. We just haven't done that work yet. The future is bright! Let's get to work.
