Original post made on Jul 3, 2015

This is ridiculous. I teach in a HS that is really old, we don't even have any window, I do with whatever technology I have and my students do not seem affected, they have good grades and meet the standards. In fact when I had windows in the past -school in another state-, it was a distraction. A while back I was teaching with just a chalk board and no technology whatsoever...students did great too! Schools should invest in psychologists and more teacher aid -for example reading aid- because as a HS teacher, I see more and more kids with mental illnesses. We should do prevention since K. As a foreign language teacher, I also believe that some grammar specialists should teach our kids, I have to teach grammar functions so many times! Students sometimes barely know how to read. Invest in people, not in buildings...[PS for people wondering about my grammar and being a teacher, I am a World Language teacher and not a English native speaker. Thanks for your tolerance. ]

"I teach in a HS that is really old, we don't even have any window," and "I see more and more kids with mental illnesses". Do you see the correlation? Exactly...
