Hmm...why was my previous comment deleted without explanation?
I get that this is a restaurant review and not journalism but I would think someone would have thought to ask why this restaurant opened up just a few blocks from the *very* similar longstanding neighborhood favorite Garden Fresh? This reviewer seems to think there's something novel about the cuisine, even though Garden Fresh has been a popular destination in Mountain View for years.
Is anyone at this restaurant previously associated with Garden Fresh? (Yes.) Is there bad blood between the two? (Yes...obviously. Why else would they open up with a near-identical menu only a few blocks up the road?)
I, along with MANY other MV residents, have been a very happy patron of Garden Fresh for probably 15 years. I will never patronize this new place, an obvious knockoff of Garden Fresh.

Hmm, posts have been being dropped for a couple days now due to likely system issues. Hmmm....
I know GF has a solid following, but I'd love for a vegan restaurant to open up that WASN'T like Garden Fresh. Ironically, another version of the same thing is just like their menu.
