Laundry room fire displaces one resident

Mountain View fire crews quickly extinguished a fire Saturday afternoon in a home on Gladys Avenue.

The story is unclear. It refers to a "home," a "duplex" and an "adjacent unit." Perhaps it was just written by someone in the fire department. In any event, the moral of the story could be that even a homeowner may be forced to move or become homeless with no advance notice, and we should all be concerned about displacement and homelessness.

@Unclear StorY:

A home isn't necessarily a single-family standalone property. A home can be an apartment, condo, unit in a duplex, etc.

A home is a residential unit as defined by the county. Multi-unit residential properties are quite common in this area.
