Do homeowners need to sue the city about the RV problem?

Original post made by What will it take?, Another Mountain View Neighborhood, on Mar 29, 2018

I fear the ONLY thing that will get the city to take ANY action at all will need to be pushed by a law suit.

As a homeowner and tax paying resident, I feel I would have standing. Would there be enough involved to qualify for a class action? Has anyone noticed
the mini RV "Jungles" that keep popping up? Where are our leaders?
I guess the better question is where do the citizens sign up for a law suit.

I oppose any attempt to regulate RV parking.

One of the easiest ways to make money right now is to rent old undriveable RVs and Vans or old trucks to "workers". The City will pay to service and maintain the vehicles, all you have to do is dump it on the side of the raod and collect the cash.
This is easier money than AirBnB, any old van or truck will work fine.
Park it where you want. The city is scared to act, the police look the other way.

Easy Money Pal. Don't mess with it.

What is the city supposed to do? Kick them out of town? Build an RV park? Until a workable solution is developed, a lawsuit is not going to do anything.

The question is what has the city tried to do? A lawsuit may very well speed up actions by the city. The back parking lots of our grocery stores have become the new "Village" encampments.
They should be off the streets and in RV parks if they want to camp.
