PG&E needs to start seeing Rooftop Solar as a solution, not as a problem. Rooftop solar combined with battery storage would be an ideal solution to protect people, espcially disabled and vunerable seniors, from power outages caused by PG&E's Public Safety Power Shutoff program and ease an overburdened grid. Instead of encouraging rooftop solar, which benefits EVERYONE by reducing the cost of running the grid, they attack rooftop; solar with fees and red tape. They see solar as a threat to their monoploy, which is a huge mistake. State lawmakers are about to let the utilities off the hook for their mismanagement, spending billions of tax dollars on wildfire prevention. Will they also protect our right to make and store solar energy on our property? Or wukk ut be "business as usual"with the utilties bottom line taking precedence over consumers and a clear energy future?

Solar:

First,
Second,
Third,

4th: there is power loss in transmission over distance (typically 20%.)

Produce LOCALLY and be efficient!
