Dealing with hot weather requires a bit of fore-thought. My mother, who lives in a large, non-air conditioned house off of Benvenue Ave, deals with this hot weather as follows:

She ensures that during the cooler evening hours the house is open but during the heat of the day she keeps the house closed - fans running.

If things get TOO warm a cool shower helps immensely and she has a swimming pool, ergo . . .

By keeping windows open at night and closed during the day the house temperature has NEVER gone above 80 degrees. Stay cool, drink lots of fluids, and all is well with the world.

There is no faster way to cool off a body then to use water - it sucks the heat out of everything quite nicely. Resting in a cool bath . . . can solve multiple "heat" issues. Keeping well hydrated helps, too.

And please, STAY OUT of the sun. The official temperature might be in the low 90's but that's still air temperature, taken in the shade. In the sun it is HOTTER !!!
