Santa Clara County supervisors propose $25M grant for homeless housing expansion

Two Santa Clara County supervisors are looking to pour $25 million into creating an ambitious network of homeless housing complexes across the county, with hopes of constructing up to 10 projects that could get people off the street.

City councilmembers; It would be nice, if a portion of the Cuesta Park Annex be used for this public purpose. The section immediately adjacent to the existing parking lot is away from nearby single family homes. (and future SB9 duplexes!)
As a nearby (not adjacent) single family property owner - I would like to have my Cuesta Park neighborhood (richer area) participate in this "common Welfare" project. The poor will always be with us. How we treat and care for them, the least fortunate, shows our own morality.
I am also a many decade member of First Presbyterian Church, almost across the street from this Annex. I do not think such institutions, will at all mind the City helping more of the poor in our community.
