So, that I understand this, the owner/developer gets to move forward with no parking spaces for a project that evidently would require at least 14 of them, while nearby residents get at least that many downtown visitors/workers, in addition to the legions who already do so, parking on there streets because the city saw fit to take cash instead of requiring adequate parking. Did I get that right? I attended one of the of the neighborhood meetings mentioned but don't recall any discussion, let alone agreement, that an in-lieu fee would be sufficient to mitigate a parking-space deficit. Did I miss something?
Don't miss out
on the discussion!
