Here's how state lawmakers want to help Californians facing high gas prices

Gov. Gavin Newsom proposed pausing tax increase on gas sellers and Republican state lawmakers have pushed for suspending the tax entirely in the short term.

Also, getting rid of CA's special reformulated gasoline. I have never found any actual data that indicates the benefit of this fuel. We're paying over an extra $1/gal and are also at the mercy of the few refineries in CA that create the fuel.
