"... utter lack of care for what happens when children are born"

A meaningless talking point that does NOT justify abortion.

I'm sorry, why is that a meaningless talking point? It's very true. Once a baby is born, no guaranteed health insurance, no guaranteed day care, or unpaid time off for the mother. The list goes on and on and on and on. Oh and let's not forget the mass shootings that happen on a daily basis. The GOP doesn't give a crap about that either, even when babies are the victims. No Gun Control, GOP always worried about taking the guns away. Again, meaningless talking point? Women should have complete control over what they do with their healthcare and their bodies. PERIOD!!!

Uh... Abortion *is* legal. Yes, even in Texas. All the R v W ruling could do is throw it back to the states to set their own guidelines. I thought CA was the state that always wanted states rights so it could do what it wanted independent of the Feds. Now suddenly it's not? Seems like a double standard.

Hey Redhawk524 "from another community."
"I thought CA was the state that always wanted states rights so it could do what it wanted independent of the Feds." I don't know where you are, but no, that is just wrong. California is a state that looks out for and cares for it's people. It does not try to control people's bodily autonomy.
"All the R v W ruling could do is throw it back to the states to set their own guidelines." Yes, that is correct. Some states already have laws on the books that would force women to carry a fetus ~against their own will~ that will come into play immediately if and when Roe v. Wade is tossed out.
So if a state, after massive voter suppression, decided that people of color shouldn't vote, is that OK?
That whites and blacks can't marry, is that OK?
So no, we are not a "take rights away from folks" state. Nice try though.
