No one injured after car crashes into downtown Mountain View post office

A car crashed into the downtown Mountain View post office at 211 Hope St. on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 17, but nobody was injured, according to police.

Good thing we banned those dangerous scooters from downtown! Wouldn't want those on the sidewalk!

Another news outlet reported that the driver pulled into the space but did not put the car in park, reached into the back seat to get her packages, then (I guess) realized she forgot to put it in park, but panicked and hit the gas instead

Hey, some folks want to reopen Castro to cars so that they can park "close to businesses". Can't get closer than that!
