Thank you for this story - I have been suffering from the proliferation of harsh blue light in out town. The story does not mention that this State bill has been sponsored, and actively supported, by the local chapter of the Audubon Society - the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society. Moreover, in Mountain View, the City Council - with encouragement from GreenSpacesMV, the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society and the Sierra Club - has promised to prioritized nature and biodiversity and to include Light Pollution in its next work plan for 2023-2024.
