Woman killed by falling tree while hiking with Boy Scouts at Rancho San Antonio

The parent of a Boy Scout died on a group hike at Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve in Cupertino Sunday morning, March 5, when a tree fell on her, the Santa Clara County Fire Department reported.

What heartbreaking news. I've hiked in that open space with my own Boy Scouts many times. My thoughts go out to that family.
