Gov. Gavin Newsom signs watered-down oil profit penalty into law

Gov. Gavin Newsom signs an oil profits penalty plan that is supposed to keep California gas prices under control. The oil industry says it will closely watch the regulations.

Maybe California could get rid of the requirement which forces CA motorists to only purchase special blends of gasoline? CA gasoline is not a competitive market because gasoline is only produced by a small number of refineries in the state.
