First she bails out on MV Council early and now she wants to bail out on the replacement gig early. And this is after previously being on Council and leaving for a different position 20 years ago. As a MV voter I feel used. Now as a BoE voter I feel used. How long would she keep her supe job before running for something else?

@ Chris,

I totally agree. Not only does this office-hopping show a callous disregard for voters and taxpayers, it demonstrates a glaring inability to plan ahead. I'm done voting for this status-seeking politician.

Of the two Council members now running - which do you think will better work for the interests and problems of Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos and Sunnyvale? I think Lieber more represents the type of work-toward-solutions and the social progressive bent that I would like.

I know that MAK has wide ranging regional experience, by all her commission and regional board responsibilities over the last decade. BUT Lieber has just as much experience and IMO, better experience with Policy (state legislature) and better consistency with what she fights for.

peace and love

Margaret Abe Koba has shown consistent leadership; she has worked diligently for all the citizens of Mountain View and I think she deserves to move on to the Board of Supervisors where she will work quietly and effectively for all of us. I think Sally Lieber is just a flash in the pan, jumping from one elected office to another -- she's just interested in making waves and moving on to the next spot that's good for Sally.

Is Sally Lieber a "flash in the pan?" for elective office (decades?) or is she conversely a "career politician?" To me, it seems like both MAK and Lieber have about the same experience, but Lieber's is at a slightly higher level because of her state legislator experience, she was reelected till term-limited.

IF Supervisor Simitian didn't run and 'fill the spot' many years ago, we know MAK was going to run (announced and then withdrew) and it would not At All have been a surprise to me and others if Leiber would also have run back then.

Margaret Ave Koga has my vote. I have never seen a politician make more changes than Sally Lieber...one position a stepping stone to the next? Settle down Sally do your job, political office is not meant to be a revolving door!
