Will any of the replacement trees be mature trees or at least large enough to provide some shade? Fifteen years is a long time to wait for canopy replacement.

This sounds like a win-win in several regards, but do we really need more office space when we currently have vacancies? This seems to be going in the opposite direction in terms of creating a jobs:housing balance.

The question is if the developer has funding to build this project under the current economy. It's a large investment that's speculative if there is no tenant already lined up. The city can't reject that approval because of this, but the approval doesn't meant the project will be built. The visibility from central expressway might make this project appeal to various tenants though, especially if signage is available. You can argue that it's a more appealing location than Middlefield Road due to access being easier for cars from some directions.

Isn't it 'just too bad' that more auto traffic will hit this area (note - adjacent to VTA trolly tracks) and yet - No More VTA Station Evelyn! The late former city manager - opposed this 'transportation UNdevelopment' in 2014.
- Pedestrian access tunnel ALSO closed!-
