Mountain View City Council supports request for bonus office density despite concerns about jobs-housing imbalance

The Mountain View City Council approved a request for bonus density from an office developer in North Bayshore, despite some initial hesitation around the fact that the project doesn’t include housing.

more office space means more jobs and more jobs means more demand for housing. We're NEVER going to solve the housing crisis by building: it's too expensive and takes too long. Let's shut down the office space and kill the jobs until housing is in balance.

This is like trying to solve rad congestion by building more freeways!
