El Camino Health Care District and El Camino Health give $11 million to support local health programs

El Camino Health Care District and El Camino Health recently announced a little over $11 million in awarded grants to improve health equity initiatives in Santa Clara County, with a sizable portion going to Mountain View.

"Mountain View Whisman School District — Pre-K-8 school nurse program"

A valuable and on-going support for children's health (especially the hard-to-serve families).

Health issues can really jack-up the Chronic Absenteeism in families that have less-than-stellar health plans. So keeping kids healthy and in-school really does help the instructional program for all students at a school.
