New studies aim to speed up Palo Alto's redesign of rail crossings

LOL. My bet is that Palo Alto will not get the money.
Read this part of the story???
“ While Council member Pat Burt approved the staff's request to advance the studies, he worried that speeding things up will keep the city from fully evaluating things like bike improvements, for instance. He called the timeline "ambitious" and said he is "not sanguine about being able to get to this point."”

It has been 10 years, Pat. How much longer does Palo Alto need to solve the issue? Do you job instead of passing the buck!!!

And just to demonstrate that this par for the course for Palo Alto is an article also in the weekly today about the architectural board finally approving a new fire station to replace the old one on middlefield. That took 9 years. And it was a public safety issue as the current station is out of date!!!

And don’t forget almost 10 years to build Holman’s folly- the bike bridge over 101 that had to be iconic- “let’s have a design contest” and then ignore the results!!!!!
