Get wht you want out of elected officials

If our elected officials don't do their jobs properly, I would encourage everyone to vote them out. We have a crisis in California so if the lawmakers can't do anything useful, we must elect someone who can.

Actually, they have surprisingly little discretion in how they spend the budget because of numerous ballot initiatives and court decisions. We, the voters, have been approving lavish spending year after year after year.
