Stanford Summer Chorus

The Stanford Summer Chorus collaborates with the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Freiburg of Freiburg, Germany, to present Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, conducted by Andreas Winnen, Saturday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m. at Stanford Memorial Church, Stanford. Donations are encouraged.

Family Event: Stargazing at Hidden Villa

Spend a summer night under the stars with the Peninsula Astronomical Society on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Hidden Villa. Start with a presentation by Dave, the Astrowizard, at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., view constellations, galaxies and star clusters through massive telescopes. Drinks and snacks provided, but dress warmly and bring flashlight and blanket or lawn chair. Hidden Villa, 26870 Moody Road, Los Altos Hills. $10 in advance/$12 at the door.
