William R. Morrill
1938-Sept. 26, 2015
Reno, Nevada

Bill Morrill, 77, passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2015. Bill proudly served his community with over 30 years in the Palo Alto Fire Department and retired as battalion chief. He raised his family in Palo Alto and Los Altos. He returned to Oklahoma after retirement, fulfilling his desire for simpler lifestyle. He was loved and respected by those that knew him and was always there to help his community. He was an avid fisherman who loved the Sierras and getting away to spend time in what he called "PQT" (peace, quiet and tranquility). We like to think he has now gone to that great fishing hole in the sky: catching the big ones.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina ("Tina") Morrill; son, Michael ("Mike") Morrill, and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Sophie; sisters Lynette Berri, Teresa Chavez, Marcella Morrill and Mary Alves; and his companion, Theda Ann Harbour of Oklahoma. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Viva Lucille Snow; father, Louis Rudolf Morrill; brother, Raymond Morrill; his "Aunt Mary," Mary Edith Snow; and cousin, Jack Milton Snow.
