Michael L. Barry passed away on Nov. 22, 2018 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Richardson Hill of Denver, Colorado, his daughters, Alexandra and Sally, and his three grandchildren, Seamus, Ellie and Rose. Michael was born on Oct. 11, 1935 in Helena, Montana. He spent his childhood in Denver and received his bachelor's degree from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado before receiving his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1964. Michael enjoyed a long career in the semiconductor industry, starting in the early days of Silicon Valley and living in Palo Alto for over 30 years. He had a passion for photography and was known for his quick sense of humor, his love for his family, and his intellectual spirit.
