@Mr. Advice: What does that have to do with the article?

Who is responsible for the contamination of NASA Ames' soil? If this is another irresponsible legacy from the Navy, then the Navy should foot the bill regardless of who now occupies that land.

Mr. Advice,

Not only does Hangar 1 not have any purpose, it isn't even suitable to be refurbished. I'm all about protecting important historical land, but all hangar one represents is a failed Navy project, obsolete before it was even completed, that got lots of sailors killed. Raze it.

We should develop the whole place. Make it an annex to Whisman Station.

Hanger One - what an albatross, huh?! Like the Eiffel Tower - totally useless. Knock it all down, man!

Just think of the possibilities!

More Santana Row, More Santana Row. Bread, Circuses, YAY!!!

Or, we could turn it into a FEMA campground, with hermetically enclosed underground beds.

Or we could have the Google One World Government Command Center!

Or an ancient Maya temple complex.

Or Wall-to-Wall vertical Matrix style housing! Hello copper-top.

Or return it to nature! Let's return it all to nature and live in teepees. Bulldozers, Bulldozers, Sis-Boom-Bah! Pass the granola!

Or.....you could put, oh, I don't know....an actual AIRSHIP in it.

.

.

.

Think Graf Zeppelin III (Hindenburg II has such a stigma, but hey, they're building the Titanic II...) Something that could inspire and move people...Safely of course.

Someone resurrect Airship Ventures, and give them an upgrade!!! It could be the mascot of the consortium of rich powerful Silicon Valley companies. Why oh why was that wonderful inspirational gem allowed to die? GOOGLE?!?!?!

Comparing Hangar 1 to the Eiffel Tower is really funny.

Does it really matter which part of the Federal Government has to pay to clean up Moffett Field? It's all just funny money at that point. Whether the Navy pays or NASA or the EPA.. it's all Federal dollars being spent.
