Police arrested a San Jose man on Wednesday last week after he was allegedly found to be in possession of burglary tools as well as a company badge and a debit card that did not belong to him.
Officers originally stopped the man, later identified as 30-year-old Bryan Swope, for riding a bike on a Caltrain platform on Wednesday, Aug. 2 around 11 a.m. The officer detained Swope after he found out there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest by another agency, according to police spokeswoman Katie Nelson.
Officers searched Swope’s backpack and said that he was carrying a company badge that belonged to someone else, a debit card that was not his, bolt cutters, wire cutters and “other items” typically used in burglaries, Nelson said.
Swope was arrested for the outstanding warrant and for possession of burglary tools.

Good job, MVPD
