We’re somehow nearing the home stretch of 2024 despite the weather giving off more summer vibes than fall. Maybe some people save their end-of-year self-retrospection for Dec. 31, but I find myself looking back – and ahead – with three months to go in the year.
We strive to cover stories that shine a light on what makes this region unique – its subcultures, oddities, special events and hidden gems. Non-residents may just see the region for its Silicon Valley moniker, but that’s only a piece of the Peninsula puzzle.
There will inevitably be Halloween and holiday-themed features in the mix over the next several weeks, but what else would you like to see in The Six Fifty in 2024 and beyond? Is there something or someone you’ve always wanted to learn more about? Maybe a subject you wish we’d cover more (or that you want to cover yourself as a freelance writer, photographer or illustrator)? I always welcome your feedback and recommendations.
